Day 34 – Metal Reactivity Lab Spiraling Approach

Today the students finished the metal reactivity lab. In the lab, they tested group 1 and group 2 metals with water and gauged their reactivity. They also took samples of the resulting calcium hydroxide and an alkali metal hydroxide. I store these samples so that they can use titration and stoichiometry to back calculate the size of their original piece of metal.
